Mountain Mist is cheap and readily available (JoAnns). I've used it a lot and it's even, sturdy, and while it looks so very thin, it gives great stitch definition. **Commercial over**   :D

One of my customers uses Mountain Mist all the time. Basting down the edges of the top can be a challenge since it is so puffy and stretchy. It really helps if you use a ruler for basting, it controls the puff so the edge of the top gets basted down nice and neat.

I've used the Mountain Mist Quilt Light with t-shirt quilts or quilts with fleece or flannel on the back.   Just enough fill to quilt nice, but not too heavy and bulky.   That's the only Mountain Mist product I use.
