Lori
This morning I started quilting a table runner, and about 20 minutes in, all of a sudden I couldn't get my needle to stay in the down position. If I push the button, it goes down and then immediately back up again. I have a 2012 Freedom. I always start quilting with the needle in the down position. Any help would be appreciated:) Lori Davis Empty Nest LAQ
ffq-lar
Get out your manual and find the instructions to adjust your needle up/down. It involves adjusting a screw under the hood and is an easy fix. There is also an instructional video under the "product care" header on the home page of this site. Lori
Thanks Linda, I saw that video, but they were talking about the machine continually going up and down, and I wasn't sure if this solution would be the same for mine. I'll try it!
barbm
It's not a "needle up/down" problem but likely an issue with a board or sensor. Call or email APQS Service and let them know what's happening. Your machine should still be under warranty, so as soon as the problem is fully diagnosed, they will get replacement parts out to you. In the meantime, you'll have to use your flywheel to put your needle down. Sorry!!
Lori
Barb, thanks for the advice. I emailed them, and Dawn is checking to see what parts I need. She thought it sounded like the needle sensing circuit board is not working correctly. I appreciate your help! Lori
