GMALKB 368
What is involved in upgrading to the interchangeable hopping feet............I think that would be a great advantage - especially the open toe option. Have any of you had your current machine upgraded with this option? Since I am getting "blissed", thought I might investigate this option while I am at it. Thanks for any input. I have a 2010 Millie. GMALKB 368
Guess I should have done a search before posting my question, as I found lots of information about this...........everyone seems to love, love, love having the different feet. So, one more thing to add to my upgrade wish list ! Beachside Quilter
Beachside Quilter 704
The interchangeable feet are great, Linda! I use the low profile Applique and open toe feet a lot. You will love them!
Neher-in-law5 254
It makes great sense to have it done when another major overhaul is done on the machine. I hope to someday have it done to George.
wreckser 2
I also love the interchangeable feet! I did the change myself - the only difficult part was sawing the old foot into pieces so I could get it out of the machine. Would definitely recommend the change. Primitive1 802
I have them too and use the open toe foot the most now....
Bertwood 1
How do I know if I have an interchangeable hopping foot on my machine? I have a 2010 Millie. Do I have to take my head apart to find out? My older Millie had the one piece, tall feet.
Cagey 770
You will have two small screws about an inch up from the hopping foot, then you have an interchangeable hopping foot bar. http://shop.apqs.com/Peek-A-Boo-Foot_p_127.html If the hopping foot bar is one solid piece of metal from where it comes out of the head to the bottom of the foot, you do not have an interchangeable hopping foot machine. You can upgrade it though, which does require retiming your machine. Cagey Bertwood
Bertwood 1
Thank you, that was the explanation that I needed!
