jimerickson Posted April 14, 2015 Report Share Posted April 14, 2015 I normally set my regulator (Intellistitch) at 12 when doing circles. If the circles are small, I might use the 16 setting. Similarly, if the circle is large, I might go to 10. It depends a lot on the stitch count I'm using on the other parts of the quilt. Hope this helps. ffq-lar Posted April 14, 2015 Report Share Posted April 14, 2015 Doing a secure tie-off might be more important than the spi for any quilting design if you want your stitches to stay put. How are you beginning and ending your stitching? If you don't knot-and-bury, taking three or four tiny stitches almost on top of each other at the beginning and the end will work for most thread.
