Oh my goodness I am so happy to be finished with this one!  I posted several photos of the "in progress" so I won't totally inundate you with pictures...there are more in Flickr if you missed it the first couple posts.  I'm finally FINISHED!  This was the last quilt before baby so now I'll just relax and work on my own things.  Looking forward to a nice relaxing month or two of my own fun projects!

For inquiring minds - the pattern is called Feels Like Spring by Smith Street Designs (Darlene Gerber is the owner and top maker) - and it was quilted using a layer of Hobbs 80/20 with Hobbs Tuscany Wool over top - quilted entirely with Bottom Line thread from Superior Threads.

Have really enjoyed watching your progress on this quilt. It is amazing. I love how you put that pretty little flower all over the quilt, the beautiful feathers and the crosshatching

: As well all the special background fills. Just amazing. Thank you for sharing your work.

Now relax and enjoy time for your self, girls and that new little one.

The quilting is amazing.  It looks like another one of your 100+ hour jobs.  You and the new owner should be proud of it.

Good luck with the new baby.  If she will not sleep or gets colicky, you will have to move her bassinet into your quilt studio, and let the machine run.  It will sooth her, as she has been listening to it for thousands of hours.  It just may be that secret weapon that calms and quiets her.  Have fun with "your" projects.

You truly have a gift.  I never met a "Valerie quilt" I didn't like.

I don't know how you get such detailed quilts done so fast.  I would have had this on the frame for weeks, months, maybe years!  :P

Valerie, your quilting is absolutely stunning!  I love how you have framed and enhanced each of the blocks.  You have a wonderful vision as you design your quilting motifs!     I bet it was hard to let this beauty go back to it's owner........  Do you have any idea how many hours you have in this beautiful creation?

Will be looking forward to hearing about the arrival of your little girl.  Relax and enjoy your family.   :)  :)

If I wasn't so inspired and in awe of many of you I don't think I would enjoy quilting as much.  Ya'll bring such creativity and workmanship into your quilting.  I just drool every time I start looking at your pictures.

Valerie, the quilt is beautiful and your quilting....well....it's your normal wonderful quilting.  What can I say that hasn't been said many times before.

I am out of likes for the day - but all of your comments really make me feel SO wonderful, you cannot even know!!  There is nothing like getting praise and positive feedback from your quilting peers.  I really had so much fun with this one...I am very honored to have had the opportunity to quilt it - and I am also really thrilled with the progress I have made over these past two years!  I really truly and sincerely love what I do - and while some days I cry out of frustration, or come here with panic, or think I'm ready to walk away because running your own business, even a small one, can be SO hard - I love my job.  I absolutely love what I do and cannot actually believe some days that I get PAID to have this kind of fun!

Valerie,  So much inspiration in this quilt.  I love it when I see something that I can use in a quilt.  Your gift for designing and subdividing blocks is exceptional.  Thanks for sharing your work with us.  I'll be able to improve my quilting just by looking at your beautiful work.  God Bless.  Can't wait for the baby.
