chickenscratch
For those of you who have purchased a new or use/certified machine: How long did it take to get it? I ordered mine May 3rd. It took until last Thursday (7th) to get the payment processed. The girl said it should be here 3-5 days after it ships, but it hasn't shipped yet. How long does it typically take to get a machine after you order and pay for it? I don't want to load a quilt and be right in the middle of it when the new machine machine arrives. Beachside Quilter
You should receive an email from shipping the day it ships. Then you can start tracking it with the freight company. Kind of like having a baby; hard to wait for delivery!
ffq-lar
Call Amy or Dawn. You have my sympathy, but you can count on at least a week before you see your package if they haven't sent you a tracking number yet. I won't go into details, but contacting someone at APQS is a huge problem so I recommend you be a squeaky wheel and call them every morning until the machine is shipped. I assume you're getting a new table and it'll come freight, so it may take even longer. My money is on late next week for a delivery, but hope it's much sooner! chickenscratch
Jeez, when I talked to Bob on Friday the 30th he thought it would ship out the following Monday, since it was just sitting there, waiting for a buyer. Then the bank screwed around for three days and it didn't get paid for until Thursday of this past week. I was hoping it would ship on Friday or today. Considering that I just broke a needle and completely knocked mine out of timing, I really need the new one. LOL Linda, I have been calling Kayla four or five times a day every day, trying to get this moved along.
gkazee
My new Millie took a week to ship after the payment cleared then an additional 5 days to get here after that. Received her on Christmas Eve.
sewingpup
I can't remember how long mine took....just that it was scheduled to arrive during a big snow storm....I was panicking as I don't have a garage and it was to be drop shipped and I did not have anyone to carry it downstairs for me....so I had some tarps ready so I at least could cover the boxes up well while waiting for my brother-in-law and nephew to get off work..the shipping company turned out to be wonderful and they brought two guys and carried it down for me....they didn't have too...but they did....I was so grateful as it came early in the morning just before the snow started at accumulate and we ended up getting about 12 inches in the storm and it was blowing all over.......although I think I could have gotten all but the machine itself down the stairs.....Lin
HeidiP
Teresa, How exciting, you may have your new Millie on Monday! Is your room ready? When I ordered my Millie, it was 5 days from when the freight company picked it up in Carroll, Iowa. When she arrived in my town, the driver called to verify a good time for delivery. I have never experienced such care as I did with my Millie delivery! From my experience, APQS uses responsible freight companies! When I ordered Quilt Path, APQS scheduled shipping so it would arrive on a Thursday or Friday, when I would be home to accept it. The drivers know this is special cargo. There are warnings on the boxes: "Gentle Hands Please" "CAUTION Extreme Excitement Bundled Inside" One very important message will be on the top of Millie's box: IMPORTANT NOTICE "This bundle of quilting joy left our factory in PRISTINE CONDITION. Before your delivery person leaves, please examine your package carefully. Note any damages on the Driver's Bill of Lading. 1. Do NOT sign the receipt until this is done. Keep your copy. If possible, photograph and damage. Call our shipping department at 800-426-7233 to report any damage within 10 days. 2. Inspect your baby immediately. If anything is broken, bent, missing, etc., please call our Service Department at 800-426-7233 and we'll wave our magic wand and make it all better! (Well, we're trying to get a patent on the magic wands, but until that comes through, we will fix the problem right away with mere mortal powers. We're here to help!) I'm excited for you! This will be a much better experience and please, after you set her up post your picture with her adorned with her beautiful red bow!
chickenscratch
Thanks Heidi. My son actually spoke to the shipping company yesterday. They expect it to arrive at their warehouse Monday afternoon. They said he can pick it up before they close Monday or any time during the day Tuesday. We are expecting thunderstorms Monday, so he might wait until Tuesday, since he will be drivign it up here on a trailer. I wish they could have shipped to the house, but when he spoke with them they said there was no way they would have been able to do it, so it's good that I had it shipped to Jackson. The shipping company is actually right next door to the equipment company where Josh works. How convenient is that? He said he could throw a rock from his work area and hit the side of their building. I am so excited. Tomorrow I will be taking the Lenni down and stacking all my fabric crates against one end of the room.

chickenscratch
UGH!!! This has been a nightmare. My son went today to pick it up. 5 of the 7 boxes are there. The other two were separated and they are having to track their whereabouts. Of course, the machine head is one of the missing items. So much for 2 days from Iowa to Tennessee. It shipped out last week and won't get to me until Wednesday or Thursday at least.

chickenscratch
I have one of the most wonderful sons in the world. He took off work early and picked up my boxes, and he is on his way here now. I was totally surprised. I expected to not get my machine until tomorrow or the next day.
