Hello,

I would like to know what is the best caster to put on my long arm table? Is there a  caster that looks like a cup and glides across the floor? If yes where do I find them.

I have limited space in my sewing room and want to be able to move my long arm out of the way when not using it.. thanks

Donna

If you are on carpet you can get furniture glides at your hardware or home improvement store. Ours are about 3 inches in diameter, I don't think you want them any smaller. I don't know about casters but keep in mind if you are vertically challenged they are going to raise your machine.

I buy casters from caster city and they are a total locking caster, which means it won't roll or the wheel wont turn either when they are locked, so you get no movement if you lean on the machine.  They do add height to the machine.  ;You need to get a certain type of threaded bolt for the casters to fit in the machine leg properly.  If you are interested, send me an email and I can give you the info.

Lowe's, HomeDepot, and your local hardware stores probably carry any and all of the casters you might be interested in.  I would check them out locally to see and touch to ensure you are getting what you want.  Verify the weight capacity and height work for you.
