I dew quilting
I finished the wedding quilt for my friend's daughter. Very pleased with the way it turned out. I used a pattern that Karen Miller designed on Moda Bakeshop, (right now I cannot think of the name and too lazy to go back upstairs). She has several different layouts but I liked this one with more open space for quilting. I did change her applique. I wanted a house because it is a wedding quilt and a house to me says family and home. I quilted their names and year (didn't know the exact date). Quilted on my APQS Millie. Two layers of batting, Hobbs 80/20 on the bottom and Tuscany wool on top. My favorite combo. SoFine #402 in the light areas and Glide Leather in the dark. mlsa3
Beautiful quilt. I think I would name it "Feathers Galore" because of the feathers. Can NEVER have too many feathers. I especially like the little heart above the house and the cross hatching..those.added just a little bit of different flavor to it. David
