Enchanted Quilting
Do any of you use the cordless dyson for a vacuum in your shop/studio?? I would love a cordless with all of the nooks and crannies and wondering if the dyson is up to the challenge? I have wood floors. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Oma
I own several Dyson's. The older little handheld model was a joke to me. It would automatically shut off every 6 seconds. The paperwork with it said it was to conserve it's power. I hated it. The newer one is perfect for my studio. I love it. I have it hanging on the wall and I can just grab it and get all the stuff on the floor or up high. Definitely worth it. I'll see if I can post a pic. I think this is mine. A bit pricey, but you can find really good deals on them. You need to keep in mind that these little machines are not a whole house vacuum replacement. They are for smaller and quicker jobs...like my studio. I have vinyl floors in my studio. http://www.qvc.com/Dyson-DC44-Animal-Bundle-Digital-Cordless-Vacuum.product.H285748.html?sc=H285748-SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-16-_-H285748&catentryImage=http://images.qvc.com/is/image/h/48/h285748.001?$uslarge$
WandaGerdes
I'm not sure if this will help buttttt I have a shark rotator. It's works wonders on both my hardwood and carpet. I also use the attachments for cleaning my cutting table, furniture and corners in my quilt room. I have 2. 1 for the rest of the house and 1 in my quilt room. I don't like sharing my vacuum with the upstairs part of the house lol. We have had the upstairs Shark for 4 years and it still runs like new. Even with 4 kids, dogs and cats. Just some info. Fastquilts
I have the shark rocket stick vacuum and love it. In fact I have one for my quilt studio and also one for my house. It is not cordless but I still love it.
JenniferBernard
I have a Dyson with a cord. It deals with dog hair and thread very well and is light weight. The dog is banned from my quilting studio, of course. After using cheap, heavy vacuums for 28 years of marriage, I will now only buy Dysons they are great vacuums. I do have my doubts about the cordless ones though because of the short battery life. I have a lot of house!
