pumpkinpatchquilter
I just finished this rainbow schemed Dear Jane for my friend...Jane! She goes by Rusty to those that know her but I did have a little giggle over "Jane's Dear Jane". 20150807_120221 by Valerie Smith, on Flickr 20150807_120127 by Valerie Smith, on Flickr 20150807_120059 by Valerie Smith, on Flickr 20150807_115928 by Valerie Smith, on Flickr This took me about three weeks, a week over what I'd budgeted for it. I used Glide thread for the entire quilt - quilting in the blocks is simple but I did really try to keep with the theme and "geometry" of the quilt. Pat C
You did a great job Valerie! Your quilting is perfect for this design. The piecing is wonderful too. What a lot of work this quilt must have been but the end result is beautiful!
Cagey
While you did not do the piecing, it looks like there is not a single block that is the same. I can only guess how long that took finish. Your quilting is lovely. It truly adds to the quilt top. Accentuating the diamond pattern on the borders. Outstanding job. One question, the small squares around the outside on top of the batting, were those used to verify your tension, thread color match, and simply warm up? pumpkinpatchquilter
Thank you! Cagey - those little squares to the side are just where I test tension! I test for each and every bobbin change and especially for color changes. There are more than 20 bobbins in this quilt...hence...a few little squares.
