BobbieJones
Has anyone used a pantograph on a Dresden Plate quilt? If so, which panto? I have a customer that wants an edge to edge for financial reasons. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
Mary Beth
As a matter of fact, I am doing one right now. My customer is on a fixed income and new at quilting so we are going the cheapest route too. Hope you can see the pics okay, the quilt is on my machine and I already have it set for the next row. I am using Popcorn by Jodi Bemish, Willow Leaf Designs.
SandraC
Good advice, Mary Beth, I wouldn't have thought of Popcorn! But, I tell my customers when they are trying to choose that popcorn goes with almost anything! I've also had it chosen for a quilt that was all food fabrics since they thought it looked like broccoli....and another for a boys racing car quilt since they thought it looked like exhaust. Another quilt I did had a grey/blue hand-dyed back so it looked like a dramatic stormy sky on the back, it was great. I think Popcorn for this quilt would make it look quite cheer-y. Mary Beth
Gotta love that Popcorn...it goes so fast to, probably the best part of the whole thing. I just thought the "roundness" of the design would go well with the "plate". Oh well, seems to be working.
smicke
Glad I found this post! My next quilt is a dressden plate as well. My customer too wants an all over pantograph. Thanks for the idea and lovely pic. Mary Beth! Simone:)
ramona-quilter
Mary Beth, Do I detect some glitter in your thread on Dresden Plate? What thread are you using on it? You are so right. It looks great with that fabric.

Mary Beth
Linda, Are you kidding....I have not been brave enough to try the funky thread yet No, it is just Signature thread and the color is Daisy. I think it just shows up good on that dark green.
