kkey1030
Hi all, So I'm cleaning out my quilting studio because I had to move it into a smaller room to make room for my Millennium. In the drawers of notions that I got and never quite used, I found a package of "Magic Bobbin Washers" that were given to me by the manufacturer (cause they liked me). I've never used them. But it got me wondering if these little thin slippery things will be useful with my longarm???? Do any of you use them? they claim to eliminate backlash and bird's nests in the bobbin case. Opinions? Sue E.
I use pre-wound bobbins and use them all the time. I have removed the spring and put in bobbin washers. I have never had a problem. Love them.

RitaR
I love them in my Penny, and also my domestics. There are two kinds of Genie washer, the ones with holes, and the ones without the holes. The ones without holes are for drop in bobbins.
judyday
Did not know there were two kinds. I have used the one with holes for my sewing machine. I couldn't see any difference. I didn't have a problem without them though. Never thought about using them with my George. I'm interested to see what others have to say also. RitaR
kkey, be sure to use them with the dull side up. I can't tell which side is cupped, so I look for the dull side, It does make a difference.

Mary Beth
I have heard with APQS machines you do not need the Bobbin Gene. When I had my Millie, Sharon came to our guild meeting and she talked about them. The local APQS dealer at the time told me not to waste my money on them.
