pammerh
I am new to this site and new to the idea of doing my own quilting. I just dropped off a queen quilt top to my quilter and will spend $144 to have her quilt it for me (I'm not complaining, she does a wonderful job). I think it would be fun to quilt my own quilts. The boys are grown and on their own, although I work 12 hour days, I have 3 and 4 days off a week.....I have time to do some quilting! I don't see that APQS has a rep in the Albuquerque, NM area. My thought is to learn as much as I can before running off half cocked and making such a huge investment. Is there a local rep in NM? Does anyone carry the APQS machines? How would I go about getting some training? I am wondering if it would be a better idea to start on a smaller scale and then move up to the bigger, more expensive machines...any thoughts? Pam.Nagle
As one Pam to another--go for it! I love my Millie & CQ! You could not make a better decision. APQS is wonderful, the people are wonderful and of course, all of the folks in the group are too! I am sure someone in your area has one and Arizona is not so far away. Mary Beth
Pam, Find a show where you can try out all the different machines on the market. I'm a Millie girl too, and I'm so glad DH said "get it!". I love all the features that APQS has to offer. Good luck with whatever you decide. And welcome to the forum.
