Sheila S.
I have a person that wants me to quilt her quilt and the backing is cuddle cloth (or minky) and it has nubs on it. My question is will these nubs get caught on the machine as it glides over these nubs?
qltnbe
I quilted a very large t-shirt quilt with Minky on the back that had the nubs that I think you are talking about and I had no problem at all with them catching. You can see a pic of the quilt here in my flickr account. https://www.flickr.com/photos/qltnbe/15722330357/in/album-72157644344317835/
Robin
The nubs don't get caught, you just have to be careful not to stretch it when you tighten your rollers. There are other posts on this forum regarding which way to load it. I usually load it selvage to selvage.
Sheila S.
Thank you ladies for the comments. I have quilted one quilt using smooth minky and I had great results with that one, and I did load it salvage to salvage. So glad the nubs will not have did divulge with this one. Thank you again. Love being able to get answers from quilters on this site.
Sandra Darlington
I have not had any problems with the nubs on Minky. As already mentioned, just don't stretch it.
Sheila S.
I did my quilt with the minki and nubs and it came out wonderful. The customer loved it as well? I did not take a picture and now I wish I had. I should keep a book with pictures of all the quilt I do for customers.
