qltnbe
I have been procrastinating on this quilt for some time because of all the open area; and I do believe I asked for suggestions here about how to deal with it. Well, I finally decided to divide and conquer and this is what I ended up with.

qltnbe
Thank you. When I think of how long I put off doing this quilt and now that it is done, I should just realize that all I need to do is put it on the machine and go for it. LibbyG
I like the pattern in the squares too! Feathers always works for me. I just love them. You're right. Sometimes it's just easier to put the quilt on the frame and something will come to you.

qltnbe
Thank you so much. I went to a Ricky Tim's seminar and he showed us how to "draw" feathers on paper. I figured if I could draw them, I could "sew" them because isn't our quilting just drawing with thread? Thanks again for all the kind words. Cagey
Your feathers look outstanding. I will have to see about taking Ricky's class, it looks like he taught you well. Cagey

qltnbe
Thank you everyone for your kind words. I stressed over this quilt and "I" was pretty pleased. It and another one is going in the mail today to the customer. I sure hope she loves them both.

qltnbe
Thank you everyone. I had to send this home from MI to MO and got a response yesterday that she not only liked the quilts (2) that I sent back to her, but she "loved" them. That makes me a happy camper. I always worry how someone is going to perceive my work on their quilts.
