Looking at computerized systems

Recommended Posts

I currently have a Quilt Butler Ez on my Millie and have enjoyed this limited system very much and have done some beautiful quilting, but I am investigating upgrading to either IQ or Quilt Path.  I understand there is a Facebook group for Quilt Path, but may I join it before owning one?  Is there anything like that for the IQ community?  I really need to do my research before I get my husband to think it is his idea to upgrade!!!

i look forward to any and all input, thanks,

Lori Hufford

Hi Lori

Yes there is an IQ Yahoo group https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/IntelliQuilter/info kind of similar to the APQS forum everyone welcome and it is free.  Also on the IQ site http://intelliquilter.com/ there is a support page with most of the common issues and resolution.  Here is another link to the training videos that can also be found on the IQ site.  Some of the older stuff is not so relevant as there have been many upgrades to the software over the years and there is usually a quicker simpler method.  http://www.iqdemos.com/

Have fun checking out the options

Nigel

Lori, I'm sure the Quilt Path group would love to have you as a member.  I have the IQ, when I bought my system Quilt Path was not available.  They're both great systems, you can't go wrong with either.  It just depends on what "bells and whistles" you're looking for and ease of operation.

I have Quilt Path and love it!  It speeds up the learning curve and it saves me time. I do so much with it than I never imagined doing did before. I love that you can take a picture of a block, put it in Quilt Path and design the quilting for the block. Some quilters are even designing digitized patterns on Quilt Path that they are selling.
