Bonnie in Ok
Thank you everyone for all the great comments. It is always helpful to have people to bounce ideas off of to find the right direction to make a plan come together.

judyday
Just beautiful. Your quilting enhances the piecing perfectly. Just what the two are supposed to do. Congratulations.
Battynurse
Ok, maybe goofy question but what is it you're drawing your potential designs on? I'm trying to figure out how to quilt some things on a quilt I just loaded on my long arm.
RunningThreads
We go to office supply store and get the plastic protector sheets for the desk blotter. Put some masking tape around the outside edge so you can see the edge when it is on the quilt top. You don't want to draw outside the tape. We also use a wet erase marker, it doesn't come off if you touch it like the dry type but will come off with a damp paper towel. Also write on the tape this side up and you will always have the clean side against the fabric. Nigel
Bonnie in Ok
It is a peice of thin plexiglass and I put tape around the edges so I stop with the dry erase marker before running off the plexiglass and marking the quilt. I just use a peice of batting to erase what I don't like.
