AnnP
I have a customer who is a new customer and he gave me a 300 ct sheet for the backing. Can I quilt on that with my Lucey? Ive heard lots of different things about sheets that made me never try it. This sheet is so soft. It makes me think it would be a good backing, but don't want to mess up my Lucey. Help! gkazee
It won't mess up Lucey. I have quilted a couple of quilts with sheets as the backing. I cut off the hems and did my usual tension tests on the edge.
Quilting Biker
Ditto. Sometimes I actually dye white sheets to better match the quilt. Have never had a problem.
Sheri Butler
i think the backing with low thread count sheets just dont hold up well after several washings....they "thin out"..but it will not do a dang thing to our awsome machines!!! Quilta93
It shouldn’t harm your machine. I buy sheets from the thrift store and use as the top and back and use to practice quilt and play with designs. Deb.
