advice on tshirt quilt and some other concerns

This quilt top has some of that fishnet fabric , any one have any experience with that ? I also need advice on tension for clear thread and would someone please explain to me {in very simple terms}how to thread my spool holder that holds small spools atop the machine. I think it's a horizontal spool holder . Thanks in advance , Arby

I have made t-shirt quilts using football and basketball jerseys, the kind with little holes in it that is very slick. I treat it the same way as I do the t-shirts. Same interfacing, etc. It has worked so far, and no one has complained.

About the spool holder. I don't know if this is right, but I put the spool on so that the thread it coming off the spool towards me - at the front of the machine...does that makes sense??

I'd also look in previous chat's for info. on the clear thread, specifically what Dawn C. has posted. She made it really clear about how loose it needs to be, and for this visual learner, that helped a lot.

that spool holder is called dual spool holder [just looked it up] .when threading the spool ,is the thread coming from the spool above or below the spool ? Hope this makes sense . Thanks,Arby

My sister and I have done many T-shirt quilts with football jerseys. We use Wonder Under and adhere it to muslin. It seals the holes and also keeps the jersey from stretching.
