QuiltingHubby
My wife’s bliss 14’ table for her Millie 30 seems to be bowing in the middle. The machine when powered and ready to go, moves to the center of the table (doesn’t matter which side). Any way to solve this?
barbm
Have you put a perfectly straight piece of wood or metal along the rail to determine whether it's bowed or not? I'm betting it isn't, because APQS put a lot of engineering into that Bliss rail. What's likely happening is that the weight of the power cord is pulling the head to the center of the table, since there's almost no resistance on the Bliss rails. My machines like to live in the middle of the table, too, but I just lower the handles to the Quilt Top roller canvas when I want them to stay at one end or the other - just that much resistance keeps them in position. You can also drape one of the elastic clamp straps over a handle or over the bottom of the head to tether the head.
RunningThreads
Try unplugging the machine and hang the cord on top of the machine and see if it still happens. I’ve heard the Bliss is so light the weight of the cord will drag the machine to the centre if that is where it is plugged in. Nigel
