Heavy batting?

I am new to quilting and looking to make a king size quilt for our bed. We want it to be heavy. I'm not as concerned about warmth, just weight. Although they go hand-in-hand. What is the best batting to use for this?

For weight I probably would use a double bat...like 2 cotton battings.  Wool is very nice for warmth and works well with cotton when using double battings.

100% cotton will be heaviest.  Poly and wool battings are both lighter weight.

Quilters Dream makes a  Cotton that is - Supreme:  Highest loft. A hefty, very warm, and dense batting that has 1/2 pound of cotton per square yard
according to their website.  Might be worth looking at if it sounds like what you are after.
Otherwise a double batt of regular might do the trick.

I made a king size commission quilt where I double batted it using one Hobbs cotton/wool blend batting and one Quilters Dream 100% Wool batting on top.  The backing was extra wide flannel.  The customer specifically wanted a heavy quilt. She was pleased, it turned out well, nice loft and good stitch definition.
