jmyhogan
I use these two the most. The white ones I bought at JoAnn's. The others from the sewing machine shop.
jmyhogan
This is where I keep the "nipper" scissors. At starts and stops I pull up the bobbin thread, Tie the top and Bobbin threads together and bury them in the body snipping off the extra. It is easier for me to do it as I go. The brown paper bag is for snipped threads and holds my 12 inch ruler.
jmyhogan
Lynne - I got this one at Costco. I think it was $87.00. Works fine. It gives the user the option of rolling casters, which I use, or non moving solid feet.
ramona-quilter
Wow, Jim. Your wicks look like white powder puffs. Mine are all mushed down and full of oil. So that's what a new machine looks like.
Sheri Butler
Lynne, I purchased a drafting stool. It has a pneumatic seat ( drops down a tad when you sit on it), but it adjusts HIGH and LOW, and so does the circular foot rest. You can adjust that to your liking as well. Mine was alittle over $100 w/tax. I got mine at Office Max.
Sherri
I'm so glad Sue and Myrna mentioned Brent, "The Scissor Guy"! He usually has a booth at MQS, but he wasn't there this year and I really missed him - I was afraid he'd gone out of business or something. He has the one squeezey scissor that I love, love, love. They are kind of expensive - $18, I think.....but they are terrific. Heavy duty, blunt end, and have the snip-a-stitch blade. The one I got from Checkers are similar, but not the same quality.... If anyone can help me out with how to contact and place an order with The Scissor Guy, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!! LorrieMN
I use my little Ginghers on a retractable cord clipped to my shirt. I also found an adjustable ring with a little cutter blade. It's easy to use, I wear it on my pointer finger just past the first nuckle. My saddle seat came from Sam's Club on line.

smorris
I don't have a favourite style of scissors but I put small scissors on the laser post at the front of the machine.
