quiltingwithlove
I am also a new Mille user (since Dec) and am having thread breaking with the trilobal poly by superior threads. I have several types of this and love the look. Bobbin is prewound "bobs" also by superior thread. The machine will stitch perfectly for almost a whole row and the tension looks great on top and bottom and then the thread will start breaking! I live in AZ with NO humidity so keep all thread in refrigerator. I have tried spritzing cone with water, changing top tension, and changing the needle. When the top thread breaks the thread is plastered to the side of the machine with static electricity! Any suggestions? Thanks . Susie;)
Darlene Epp
Hi Sue, Try putting a bead for silicone, like Sewer's Aid across the top for the cone, so it penetrates all layers. That may solve the problem. It keeps the thread cool, and also lubricates it. I'm pretty sure it will also cut down on the static "cling" as well.
