Lynne
Some lucky family is going to be passing this quilt on as a family heirloom. Just think of all the generations that will enjoy it. The feathers are so perfect they give me goose bumps! Just all over beautiful!!! Lynne in Ann Arbor
The Crafty Unicorn
SewSilly, I drafted the pattern myself. We had the vintage dresden plates donated by a local antique shop and hand appliqued them to the muslin squares. But there weren't enough to make a good sized quilt. So I tried a few settings and came up with this. The pots are really simple piecing and the stems were added in during the pot piecing and appliqued down once the blocks were assembled. I borrowed the chain border from a strippy quilt I saw at a show, but had to draft the pattern to actually make it work as a border. You just have to love EQ5!
