chickenscratch
I'd love to see Karen teach Victorian feathers. And Myrna teach something on custom quilting, what that means, how to determine what and where to quilt. Something along that line.
Carol
Hi Pam and Teresa, I'd love to see a class on the Compuquilter (or even 2 classes especially since mine is being installed on Monday! I'd also love to see classes by Karen, Myrna, Dawn, Marilyn, and any other teachers. I'd have to find time to get into a couple of classes....didn't get to take any this year. Notify those teachers that you really want them to be there to teach! Tell them to go to www.imqa.org and put in that class proposal. Carol Wiles IMQA Office Manager IMQA Membership Director MQS Quilt Director finalstitch@yahoo.com anxiously awaiting the CQ!
Loes
Hi, My teacher proposal will be submitted to MQS tomorrow: I will be teaching how to get inspired, how to "see" and create continuous quilting designs and how to draw your own quilting designs with Pre-Design, to be used with CompuQuilter. My class will also teach how to draw and print your own panto rolls with Pre-Design for everyone who doesn't have a computerized longarm system. To see how easy this is, take a look at: http://quilters.pre-design.eu/screenshots.htm'>http://quilters.pre-design.eu/screenshots.htm (slide show no. 4). And I have some pretty neat tips and tricks how to create truly original feathers Hope to see all of you in my class at MQS. Oh, name of my really active class will be "In your dreams..." Renae
Yes, Mary Beth I hear it!!!! MQS ........2008, YIPPPPPEEEEEE. I am getting excited too. I want a custom quilting class from Myrna.......another class from Dawn.......maybe a thread art class from Sue Patton, she was at the Quilt Show and got to visit with her afterward. She is really my kind of girl...likes to laugh and has a sense of humor. I love what she can do with the varigated threads........and not be intimidated, that is most of my problem. I am determined to get over that soon I hope.
Mary Beth
Renae, You will get over it...just keep doing what you are doing...and take a few classes...then PPP... MQS helped me so much this year. The hands on classes were great and I other quilter's complimenting your doodles makes you feel like you are "King of the World!!" Okay, it's a boost in you self confidence...and that, my friend, is the key!!
Renae
Mary Beth, You are soooooooo right, PPP. I do plenty of that on the things that I didn't think I could do. But I sure get compliments on my work form my clients.... that is the whole idea. When I get better at one thing then I will try another and just keep going......I have sooooo many ideas rolling around in my head right now that it is actually scary. YIKES!!! Sounds like it is empty up there....:P Some people might think so .......it's not! just full of quilting ideas is all....
