Fabric with preprinted practice designs

Recommended Posts

Someone mentioned thinking it would be a good idea if there were fabric panels with designs printed on them for practicing machine quilting designs. Well, guess what! I dinally had time to sit down with my new Keepsake Quilting Catalog and there they are on page113! Talk about ask and you shal recieve! If you want to search theor website the item number is 2875. It's 2 44x35 panels with a 16 page book by Renae Allen for 32.99. wonder if you could get the whole thing and then reorder just the fabric?

Kenna,

Yeah, about that web-site. The search did not reveal anything for 2875 or Renae Allen. I tried browsing thru

books and every other page was a "Oops, our web-site is having problems". I sent them an email.

I love to shop online. No driving, no wasted gas, no parking lots.

But online shopping should be fun not frustrating. I wish that I had not left my catalog at the dentist's office. :(

Kenna and Linda,

You can find the preprinted panels at rgadesignquilts.com.

I have the feather one. It uses many different methods to form

feathers. You can go over the designs more than once useing a

different color of thread each time. I don't have the book though.

The fabric store didn't offer it.

I found a table runner size panel from Moda. It is very pretty and I plan to "applique" around the different objects on it, then put it together as a sample of my quilting.

Ruthie,

Thanks for the link. Those really look cool for practice. By the way, I got a nice email from Keepsake's web folks and they told me that the problem has been fixed.

I think that I'm going to have to order this panel (or two).
