Sayings I saw in a quilted post-card book

Recommended Posts

"Blessed is she who can laugh at herself, for she shall never cease to be amused." :D:D

And this I LOVE: "When life hands you scraps, make a quilt." :) Yes indeed.

These are in Quilted Post Cards, by Cheryl Haynes and Barbara Cooley & Beth Davis. Thanks gals! What a great book! (Not plugging here, just celebrating my find).

Anybody else want to share fun quotes you've found lately?

LOL harriet!!! I LOVE it! :D:D:D

Ooooo, JudyLynn, that gives me goose bumps! Thanks for sharing that. I may have to use that one somewhere, like on my website, when I get one. Of course, it's not completely correct, but who cares, right? ;)

Satu, that IS funny!! :P:D:mad::o:D:D:P:cool:

I have several favorites --

Dance like no one is watching.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. (There was a picture of a basketball with this one, but it can apply to many things.)

The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those who sang best. (Audobon -- This is on a quilt shown in this month's American Quilter magazine, pg 40.)

Worrying about the future, does not improve the future, it only spoils the present.

O.K. folks - I just purchased the chuck of fabric that is printed with sayings..

from my LQS by Block Party Studios. These are done in Black , Red and

white - which are colors I love! This is from "What Quilters Really Think II"

"Give a quilter an inch and she'll think she's a RULER!"

Asking a Quilter to Mend is like asking a chef to wash Dishes!

"To Quilt is Human; to finish. Divine!"

I just LOVE all of them.... you get 24 different sayings in little squares to

cut apart and sew into projects. I picked-up a kit with the first one at our

State show.... I really must get started on that baby! I think I will have to

make it much bigger to use all of the ones I like!!

Your welcome Marty. I actually got that off the bottom of a forwarded e-mail from another quilter friend (Bekah) for this forum. So I just copied it from that. I can't take any credit at all. But it sure spoke to me as well. I'm trying to reform my perfectionistic tendencies and give myself a little more leeway to just try and do my best.
