Patch
"Blessed is she who can laugh at herself, for she shall never cease to be amused." :D And this I LOVE: "When life hands you scraps, make a quilt." Yes indeed. These are in Quilted Post Cards, by Cheryl Haynes and Barbara Cooley & Beth Davis. Thanks gals! What a great book! (Not plugging here, just celebrating my find). PattyJo
I also saw a cute saying today, not about quilts, but it is "Laughter burns calories". I think I need that one on a banner above the fridge!

JudyLynn
Our high school graduating class had this on their announcements, I think it is just the coolest ever: "BE WHO YOU ARE, SAY WHAT YOU FEEL, BECAUSE THOSE WHO MIND, DON'T MATTER, THOSE WHO MATTER, DON'T MIND." Jeanne Knowles
A friend gave me a plaque that says this: A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars! Love it!
Patch
LOL harriet!!! I LOVE it! :D:D Ooooo, JudyLynn, that gives me goose bumps! Thanks for sharing that. sewingupastorm
A freind recently sent me a photo she took of a sign posted in a quiltshop she visited. The sign read: All unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy.
Georgene
I have several favorites -- Dance like no one is watching. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. (There was a picture of a basketball with this one, but it can apply to many things.) The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those who sang best. (Audobon -- This is on a quilt shown in this month's American Quilter magazine, pg 40.) Worrying about the future, does not improve the future, it only spoils the present. kathyb
One of my favorite quotes was seen on a photo of someone's sewing studio, right on her longarm! (Now who was that?!?!?) victoriasews
Quilters don't die, they just go to pieces. Quilters do it on every block.

Judi
O.K. folks - I just purchased the chuck of fabric that is printed with sayings.. from my LQS by Block Party Studios. These are done in Black , Red and white - which are colors I love! This is from "What Quilters Really Think II" "Give a quilter an inch and she'll think she's a RULER!" Asking a Quilter to Mend is like asking a chef to wash Dishes! "To Quilt is Human; to finish. Divine!" I just LOVE all of them.... you get 24 different sayings in little squares to cut apart and sew into projects. I picked-up a kit with the first one at our State show.... I really must get started on that baby! I think I will have to make it much bigger to use all of the ones I like!!
ammueller7
Judi - one of my favorites is very much like one of yours - - - Asking a Quilter to Mend is like asking Picasso to paint a barn!!!
shadows4
My all time favs: In a LQS: Your husband called and said to buy all the fabric you want! and: My husband lets me buy all the fabric I can hide! and: Housework won't kill you, but why take the chance? MarthaProvencher
I love Patty Jo's from her tag line. When I saw it the other day, I copied it and and put it where I could commit it to heart: I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence I can reach for. PattyJo
Your welcome Marty. I actually got that off the bottom of a forwarded e-mail from another quilter friend (Bekah) for this forum. So I just copied it from that. I can't take any credit at all. But it sure spoke to me as well. I'm trying to reform my perfectionistic tendencies and give myself a little more leeway to just try and do my best.
