mxley
This quilt was made for my step-dad's church. It will either be raffled or silent-auctioned to raise money. I posted earlier that they had sent me a 20 y-o-quilt top to finish, and it was an absolute disaster. This is what I came up with. The pattern is a traditional "Buzz Saw", and in this setting is also known as "Tesselating Star". I absolutely loved the CircleLord "Swirls" template for this quilt. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p286/mxley/raf1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p286/mxley/raf2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p286/mxley/raf3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Beverly
Going to get upstairs today and practice on the Swirls template. The quilt is beyond beautiful. I love it. You do yourself and Michael and Kay proud. The binding adds so much to the quilt. Great idea. Beverly

Cheryll
I love your quilt and it shows how great the swirls works with traditional blocks. I love it on modern blocks like Carla Alexander's stack the deck quilts. I have one finished ready to quilt. the machine is being set up today and the CL is arriving today. I hope your dad's church makes great money on the quilt it's a keeper. Cheryll

BethDurand
Hey thanks for the idea! I took a class last week and we are making the same or similar design. Swirls is great for quilting it, but it's far down the list. Beth
mxley
Thanks, all! I quilt for myself and Quilts of Valor, mostly, so I rarely post photos. I must say, I really like the positive feedback! I'm fairly isolated where I am, and while the DH loves everything I do - he's kind of expected to.
