catsigler
I need to level my table AGAIN. I'm always confused about what is considered left to loosen the giant nut on the table leg. It's so tight in both directions I can't budge it, and I don't want to crank down in the wrong direction and risk making it even tighter, so which direction should I be applying pressure? Left if I am looking up at the ceiling, or left if I am looking down at the floor?????? I will make a note in the manual for the next time. Some please tell me. catsigler
As I look at the ceiling or the floor?
dtreusch
I've tightened and loosened mine several times. It is as you are looking at the floor. To the left loosens it and to the right tightens it. Debbi
catsigler
Actually, on mine, it's the opposite.l As I look at the floor, I crank clockwise to loosen the giant nut so that I can adjust the smaller nut. So it's righty loosey. No wonder I'm confused.
John Mitchell
Since you are upside down the lock nuts on the legs are turned clockwise form where you are standing. When you are looking from the other side eveything is backwards. On the large nut (you received a wrench to fit it) you may need to tap with hammer to loosen it. Many times they are man tight. Turn the large bolt clockwise to lower the leg and raise the table. John
