That was in a Pam Bono book, more of a safari look than a kiddie look. Maybe a child's coloring book..."H" is for hippo type of book. ffq-lar Posted October 1, 2007 Report Share Posted October 1, 2007 Have you looked for a paper pieced pattern? Wouldn't purple hippos on a bright yellow be great for a young boy! I haven't seen any hippo-printed fabric, but nursery fabric sometimes have hippos mixed with cartoon-y lions, elephants, etc. Such fun to look for what you want and make the quilt a one-of-a-kind gift. It also had a giraffe and lion and others, too. The pattern is from ABC Patterns, I think. Do a search here on the forum for "The animals are loose" and you can see the photo of the quilt.
