Ruthieq
I have started on this and am stuck as to what to do in the plain fabric segments, which are all different size circles, half-circles, quarter circles, and reverse quarter circle shape. In the strips I am doing wavy lines and am satisfied with that, but now I\'m stuck....
Quilting Heidi
Ruthie, I think I would divide the circle into pie shapes and fill it in with swirls or some kind of design radiating out from the center to the outside of the circle. PattyJo
I like Heidi\'s idea. Or maybe daisy petals from point out to edge of circle, just to give a bit of contrast in the texture that you will see when you look at the overall quilt. Jennifer - let me know the next time you come to Lafayette. Isn\'t it funny how we like quilt shops in other towns, because I really like the shops in Indy. SherryRogers
...is between Burien & Des Moines. We bought my husbands childhood home. Funny thing is, I moved the silverware drawer from where it always was to unfamelier terratory. Now everytime he reaches for a fork, he gets sandwich bags instead!! As soon as he gets used to it, I think I\'ll move it again! LOL

MaryLou5740
Oh, this is so BEAUTIFUL! And, encouraging! I sometimes think I will NEVER learn how to do this wonderful art form! I tried doing a Double Wedding Ring last week and it was beyond me, so had to take it off the machine and fold it away till I learn something more. I think my main problem is I\'m just an old coward...I learn one thing and just stick with that. However, this one I just loaded onto the machine is coming along great... and talk about perfect alignment...the channel lock is right on the money! So that gave me some good border ideas. I bought a Hartley Fence, but haven\'t had the courage to try it...getting there tho\'. When I get one of my own quilts in the machine, going to give that a whirl. My other thing...I HATE picking stitches...and have to admit there will likely be alot of that before I get control of this monster machine. Again, you are so blessed to have such talent! xxooms
Ruthie and Judie... I wouldn\'t have thought of your ideas, but, again, the quilting just gives the quilt another dimension and even more interest.
