Well, we did have 4" cut out of the legs.. the welding was absolutely top notch. there isn't a wiggle in the table at all and the legs hold an adults weight pushing from the side. the table strength wasn't compromised at all. He even painted the legs for us. total job only $50.00. Now, having gone over all that again, the table needed to be raised just one inch. I can see where I'm going with the micro handles by sitting on the stool, though I find it frustrating to have to move it. Need something more like the real saddle stool with wheels. I don't have the shoulder, upper arm, neck pains that I was getting before. In all, For Me, it was a good decision. Now I just have to learn better control for smoother quilting.
