sewlinzi
I\'ve been playing with some kind of shiny acetate fabric. I wondered if it would do a wholecloth. My wheels are definitely not running as smoothly as they should cos I keep getting flat areas... I just stuck a metre on with a cheap IKEA fleece blanket, used up odd thread and did a scruffy doodle as I never seem to have time to practise. The feathers in some areas were so awful and fat that I put loopies inside them. The fabric is very shiny so shows the quilting off well but I don\'t know whether it is robust enough to last if I put in a lot of effort into a posh design. LINZI x (SORRY WRONG FORUM!) sewlinzi
Here is another pic. It is a pale pink with a silvery sheen. There are other fab colours too including dark ones that look like a silk shot with metallic but they would be difficult to mark...

ramona-quilter
And I like the feathers...even the ones you doodled in. Shiny fabric would definitely look good as wall art, especially with a light mounted over it.

bobbi
Wonderful Linzi - Now, if you can\'t find a place for it, my whole bedroom is palest pink and white/cream with hints of sage. It would look just lovely accenting my pink/tan/white log cabin quilt! I\'ll even pay the postage! LOL
