royaltonco Posted February 28, 2008 Report Share Posted February 28, 2008 Hi I am looking for long arm quilting machine that will sew in zig zag stitch but in straight line are there any machine that does that I am attaching leather square patches and I was told that quilting machine can be an option. You can do channel lock to stitch a straight line but they don\'t zig zag. It would require feed dogs I think. I would guess there is an industrial sewing machine that would do that. katiefly Posted February 28, 2008 Report Share Posted February 28, 2008 Most industrial machines only do one thing. You can buy a zig zag industrial machine, but they are pricey. You can sew leather on a domestic machine and a roller foot. I have sewn on leather without a roller foot, but the leather wants to stick. A walking foot would also be a good option.
