When purchasing, please contact Deb instead of using the website shopping cart to let her know that you need the CQ format until she has a way to distinguish between the different computerized sytems built into her cart selector.

Tina, I just went to the Sweet Dreams Quilt Studio and viewed all their patterns. This is wonderful. Thanks for arranging to get the converted for us when we want them.

Is there a way to set up a database on this site or a separate category just for databases? I would love an easy to access database instead of having to scroll through lots and lots of messages.

Hi everyone. I just received the 2 CQ patterns I purchased from Lorien Quilting. They look wonderful. I hope to be able to sew them out later today and will let everyone know how they work. I still need to get backing material for one quilt top but will post a picture as soon as it is quilted. I am really excited about all the wonderful patterns we are now going to be able to use.:D:D

Hi Sue

You'll love how they quilt out. I've been able to test around 40 of Lorien designs and put them into .cmd and Harmi will be posting them to her website very soon (this week I think). The variety is great.

Tina - thanks for giving us details of Kim's designs - what a large range to choose from - now we are getting spoilt.

I'm working a show in Melbourne all this week and so get to play with the Compuquilter for 8 hours a day - its a lot of fun. The visitors to the show are amazed at what it can do. I did have one lady comment that 5 minutes to do a row (it was 72 inches wide) was a long time| - suppose you can't please everyone.

I have been playing with the Boundaries programme - Dee Dee is still writing the manual's notes for it and then it will be released but it is awesome. It makes it easy to set a design in almost any shape block. Putting a feather in a triangle is so easy and placing designs in wedding ring quilts will be a breeze. You choose your motif as usual, set the points of the pieced block (a little like using Outline) and you see the outline of the block and the motif over it, then you use the buttons on the side of the screen to change size, rotate and move the motif until you are happy where it will quilt - so easy and accurate

Thats all for now

Hi everyone

I have just finished testing 16 designs (with more to come soon) by Timeless Quilting Designs (Irene Steele). They are the same designs you will have seen previously in her panto range - plus some new ones.

Irene doesn't want to sell these designs directly herself, so has asked me to sell them on her behalf. You can view them on my website www.cottontopquilting.com.au under "Computer Patterns".

I have set up a shopping cart using Paypal (never done that before - I hope it works).

Also on the computer Patterns page is a list of Compuquilter pattern designers that I am aware of. If you know of any I have missed, please let me know and I will add them to the list.

Best wishes

I just purchased a panto pattern from pattern station called springtime flower and I love it. Here is the problem - in the default size the pattern is 45+ inches long. Which seems like a good thing as there are only two pattern repeats across the quilt. The problem I have with it is that once the thread broke and once I ran out of bobbin so had to re-start the pattern twice. Since the pattern is so long, the design in the re-start box is very tiny and finding the exact place to restart proved impossible. I finally said "What the hay" and went for the closest spot I could get on the computer - which wasn't the best, and for the rest of the row the pattern was off. I emailed them through their website twice with no response. I love several of their other patterns, but am hesitant to purchase any more without knowing the default size , Anyone out there with suggestions?
