Moving the Front Axle Back

Recommended Posts

In diagnosing why my limits are misalligned on my CQ with my new Millennium head, I think that the front axle is connected to the head in a different spot than on my old machine. We were planning to move the front axle back to the holes that were drilled for the hartley fence bar but I wanted to check to see if that was appropriate, or if there was another fix to the problem.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Donna,

I was talking to Josh here who does CQ installs and he said that you need to contact Butch at S&D stitches. You need to tell him that you need a limit switch bar that will mount in the two holes back from the front axle. You should leave your front axle there as all the newer machines go out that way for better stability and movability of the Milli head. S&D\'s phone number is 479-237-5112 Hope this helps!

Take care,
