sewright
that is pretty neat I\'m sure that makes it so much easier for you to cut the batting what did he use for the cutting bar ? Arby
jmcclannan
He used a 1" aluminum angle he got at a local hardware store for the cutting guide so I can use my rotary cutter. He didn\'t have any plans to sell these but if there is enough demand, who knows?? It took about $100 worth of materials and a week\'s work so it would have to be streamlined quite a bit to make it a worthwhile business proposition. LeeAnn
Kinda looks like a giant paper towel holder! What a great idea!
smudges
Wow that\'s fantastic, looks gorgeous!! What width batting can it accommodate? It doesn\'t look that wide but it could just be the angle the photo is taken on. Thanks! Susan
jmcclannan
That\'s a 96" roll of batting. I have a Lenni and that\'s about as wide as it will quilt. If I ever get a Millie I guess He\'ll have to get his tools out and make me a BIGGER one.

kellysuequilter
Ok, have your husband draw up some plans and a materials list and then you can sell them like people do with quilt patterns! I\'ll buy a copy.
pfrost
What a sweetheart of a hubby! You\'re one lucky gal for him to put his energy into making such a neat item for your quilting space! Sure makes the area look tidy, too...nothing draping & flopping around--it\'s all contained on the one roller! Thanks for sharing.

Sheri Butler
My hubby made me one that hangs up on the wall out of the way, and you pull the batting down. It\' also has the cutting bar that is hinged, so you snap it down to hold the batting in place and cut. I have to paint mine yet, as I want it "black." But, mine only cost about $65 to make. I\'ll have to take a pic when I get my new camera this week.
