gable428
Can someone please recommend a batting that will not shrink? Thank you:)
Bonnie
Gable....any batting that has a measurement of quilting of stitches as far apart as 10" or larger is one that will not shrink.....or if it does its like 1%. There are several that I use, but the battings police seem to hate it...its works well for me...and I get it at Walmart. Its a cotton/poly batting. ffq-lar
Any 100% poly batting will never shrink, of course. Shrinkage will be different with other blends depending on the percentage of poly in them. If you want a cotton that doesn\'t shrink, follow the package instructions to pre-wash (and thus pre-shrink) the cotton batting.
Neher-in-law5
I use 3M Thinsulate. I have never been aware of it shrinking. It is soft and lightweight-warm.
