Sandra
If we send our Millenniums back to the factory, can they be rewired by the factory techs for the new LED lighting?
Amy Stuart - APQS Service
No...I wish we could, it has definitely been a request. The problem is that the LED lights are built into the circuitry of the 08 machines...they are actually a separate circuit board. There isn't any way to get power to that board unless it is wired from the start for that option. So, even though it is heavily requested, it is not an option at this point in time. Sorry, guys...wish I had better news for you! Have a GREAT DAY!
mikeferris
Here is a solution for the fluorescent machines. I made one for my wife and others have requested so I've made it available for sale. http://www.mcautomationinc.com/led2 Here is a thread with some answers to questions. http://forum.apqs.com/index.php?/topic/35098-led-light-systems-for-apqs-longarms/ Thanks, Mike
sbcquilts
Mike, You don't have how many lumens the LED set up has compared to the fluorescent tube currently on the older machines. Do you have that info?? Thanks Sue
mikeferris
Hi Sue, So sorry I missed your post for so long. The fluorescent is around 400 lumina and the LED light is around 570. The light is direct on the work area where the fluorescent is ubstructive and not direct. Hope this helps Mike
shirleyl
Hi installed the ones linked above! I love mine! Easy install, the worst part was removing the fluorescent bulb as hubby tweeted it. 10 minutes tops! Shirley
