Thanks Teresa, I hope this works. I think I've done what you said to do. However, when I click in the attach bar and then browse, I go to desktop and find my file, but it says open, not attach from there.

OOOHHH, Well worth the wait. VEry pretty. I definitely see something diagonal running along those yellow "lines" and maybe SID on the beauty blocks. What color thread are you planning to use?

I thought the "beauty blocks" should be SID also. What kind of diagonal design are you thinking about. Remember.... E A S Y.

I will probably use beige thread so it won't take away from the her blocks. The back is the same material as the narrow border.

My customer specified that I do something easy and it could even be an overall pattern. That being said, do I not do custom because of the price? But doesn't this quilt scream custom?

You can only suggest what you think is best. If they only want to pay for overall I would definitely not do custom for the same price.

I agree. If you dont use the overall you should charge the custom price. And to answer you, YES, this pattern DEFINITLY needs custom quilting!

I'm going to call the customer and to discuss custom and overall and the difference in prices. She is a newbie at this and may not even know the difference. Or maybe she was only looking at prices to begin with.

BUT I NEED IDEAS!!!! For panto or custom either one. I am blank. Thanks.

That is too bad because I agree with all the others that that quilt is screaming custom. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would make that quilt. Maybe Jamie Wallen's swirly meander. Maybe you could just do wavy lines. Boy I'm really at a loss other than SID and something really swirly in that yellow area. Maybe some of the pros will have a better suggestion. I'm anxious to see what they come up with.

i'd start checking out panto websites. Scroll thru to see what might work with this. I can see why your "blank", as I bet we all are. It's hard to see an all over panto with something that's moving on the diagonal across the whole quilt.

Try going to Debra Geissler's website. www.debrageissler.com and click on pantograph patterns on the left hand side, bottom. Click on Swirls, spirals and misc.

There is one I think it's DS1, DS2 or SG1.One of those might work. Just a suggestion.

It looks like you're both on the same track. I also found one called Whirlpool by Spingler. I'm a little disappointed. I think I could have really made this quilt look good. Oh well.
