quiltmonkey
OK I finished snipping/clipping away the trapunto batting from my little wholecloth, and I'm ready to start quilting, but I need advice on what type of batting I should use for as my regular batting between the top and backer? Should I use a cotton batt or should I use a poly batt? Wool batt? What do you recommend? Note: I used the thick poly batt for my trapunto. Jessica Gamez
I would recommend wool or a thin cotton. Wool is used in a lot of show quilts because it wont hold fold lines like a cotton. Plus it can hold a lot of quilting without getting too stiff.
Quilting Heidi
Shanna, I use either wool or poly. I have also used poly blend but it is denser. Both wool and poly will hold up to the heavy quilting yet drape beautifully!

Quilting Heidi
Shana you will love the wool batt! That is what I used on my baby heirloom quilt and it really shows the quilting so nicely.
