yeoldeforest
Just had to share! I won 2nd in a LQS challenge with this quilt at our Guild quilt show!! Just found out yesterday - did you hear me yell from Greensboro? We are having our guild quilt show this weekend and this was the only quilt that I managed to get in the show. Yes, I know my customer's own the quilt top but so thrilled that it won a ribbon. It's the quilting that makes the quilt, right?! Their embroidery, the trapunto and quilting worked well together. The really neat thing is that this quilt was independently judged! Haven't seen the write-up yet. Yes, all quilted on a Lenni! Have a great weekend! PattyJo
Congratulations Joanne. That quilt is a true work of art by both your cutomer and you - and yes - quilting makes the quilt;)

Bekah
Congratulations!!! You certainly deserved this award, in fact, I give it a first place. Thank you so much for sharing each of the panels and the whole quilt. It is stunning.
JBQuilts
I really like these panels and your quilting makes this quilt. Congrats on the award. I purchased three panels (2 that are in this quilt) at the quilt show in Paducah, KY and was thinking I could frame them as pictures. Seeing what you did in the quilting makes me wonder if I shouldn't quilt them first then have them framed. Thanks for showing them.
RitaR
Congratulations Joanne.. It is indeed beautiful.. Couldn't really get enthused today.. the epidural shots in the neck seem to mellow me out the first day or so.. Loved the Quilt Show.. wish I'd had more time. We put 187 miles on the van today.. about 45 more than we thought we would. it was worth it, fun to see some pretty quilts, and have the ribbon system and Judges Choice explained.. then it made sense. Supper was so good, much more what we prefer than what we can get here. Thanks for the great chat and info, and great personalities to have fun with. Again Congratulations to Both of you, and your booth is very pretty too. Good Luck, RitaR

shadows4
You did a wonderful job on the quilting and trapunto. Trapunto scares me, never tried it yet. You made it so special with all of your techniques.
yeoldeforest
Thanks All! The trapunto was a lot of fun - at least using the water soluble thread and quilting around the areas. Needless to say, I didn't have to cut the batting. My couple found out they won today. I was supposed to call them but got busy vending at the show and never got a chance. They didn't think they had won anything so it was a nice surprise!
RitaR
As beautiful as these pictures are, they are nothing compared to seeing the whole quilt right up close.. Joanne did, in spite of Kelley's gasps, a beautiful job on the quilting, including the McT, she's selling herself short there.. Congrats again, you two.. hope to see you again, soon..
