  1. Today is a wonderful day, I will finish this Prismatic Star by Judy Niemeyer. Each diamond is hand set for stitch by IQ. Also the Fire Works by Crystal Smythe @ Intelligent Quilter and IQ NO Sew has the quilt looking like it is amoungest the fireworks. I used Superior MicroQuilter 100# for the SND. Diamonds and Fireworks were stitched with Glide - Vegas Gold. I was pulling rulers last week to show a friend how to use rulers. In my search, I found Deloa Jones "Little One". Well, I used it to work my SND and fell in love. I wish I had found sooner, would have made the last 3 quilts look much better. Thank's Deloa Jones for the ruler. If you don't have Deloa's "Little One" Ruler, you must get it, there is multiple uses but I love it for SND.
  2. I quilted my 1st quilt on my new Milli! It was one made by my hubby, Roger. He used a pattern from Judy Niemeyer, only he turned the final four quadrants so the star was not in the middle, leaving me lots of negative space to quilt....I will admit at 1st I was very intimidated, but after a little planning my mojo came back and I had fun with it! Appropriate to have fun on the 1st quilt of a new machine! 10. I completed this Judy Niemeyer Mariners Compass Quilt on July 4th. I started piecing this quilt as part of a technique of the month class in April 2013. The top was completed November of the same year. This is the first quilt that I marked for quilting before putting it on the frame. I'm quite happy with the results! The quilt was quilted on my Ultimate I.

  15. I have just finished quilting my own Glacier Star quilt. It still needs to be blocked, then bound, then back to the shop it goes for a class sample. Mostly Glide threads with bottomline bobbins to match. Almost 11 hours on the machine. Now Milady needs a thorough clean and I need to sort out where threads are getting caught up in the hook assembly.
