Robieks
The magnifier clamps on the arm of the handle on either side of the head. Your preference. In some cases the electrical wires may want you to only put it on the right side. Also the LED Light is a great feature to put more light when you need it. You can turn the light on and off. The magnifier is easily adjusted for your eyesight as far as distance. Some people are taller which this feature is nice to have. Or if you are sitting down and want to really get confortable. whitepinesquilter
So is this a magnifying light or what? It's hard to make out in this pic. It looks like a bracket on an ergonomic handle? I could see having a magnifying glass, how well does it stay in place when the head is moving around stitching? Robieks
The magnifing glass is 3.5" across, with LED lighting. It attaches to the 7/8" rounded handle on your APQS machine . You can easily move the magnifier to different positions depending on your height and comfort. You can use it sitting down or standing at your machine. It is very stable and does not vibrate or ziggle. When you are moving the mahine while quilting the magnifier is very smooth in staying with the machine. You will need to use it and see where you like the distance and the area of which you are quilting. I have used this magnifier for 2 years now and it is still tight and very easy to use. I also use it for changing needles, setting the hopping foot, threading the needle, and best of all it is great for timing and looking at the needle and the hopping foot. You asked about the light. It is not a bright anoying light, it is very nice to look at the quilt under magnification. If anyone has anymore questions please ask. Thanks.
