stitchquilt
I have recently acquired a used Discovery longarm. I search the apqs website for photos of the proper position of the bobbin thread before inserting it into the bobbin case. or copy of the manual that show how this is done. Thanks. chickenscratch
When you are looking at the back of the bobbin case... the big open side, the bobbin should spin clockwise when you pull the thread tail
ffq-lar
Congrats and welcome to the forum family! The bobbin goes into the case so when the thread is pulled through the hole, the bobbin spins clockwise. I pull some thread from the bobbin in the case--maybe 4 or 5 inches--- when I have the case ready to insert. I lay it along my wrist, pointing up my arm. When the bobbin is snapped into the assembly the thread doesn't get pinched or caught and is in position to be picked up with your first stitch. Looks like I'm echoing Teresa!
