[Quilt EZ vs IQ]

I've been wondering about quilt ez myself. I did try it out. It seemed easy enough to run but then again so did IQ and quilt path.

I do not run a business so spending a ton just is not going to happen for my hobby. If money was not a problem, IQ by far seems to be the most versatile than any other from my research. I really like their no sew area. I've not found any other system that has that. Quilt path is not made by APQS, it's made by Grace Co.

I wish there was a spread sheet or something that compares all the features of each system.

[making Tshirt quilts for clients]

I was asked by a friend to make her daughter a tshirt quilt for graduation in 2 years. I've never made one and really never wanted to, nor do I run a business. BUT she is a dear friend. So I would love to do this for her. I don't have the first clue what to charge or even how to make one. Yes I've watched videos and even went to goodwill for some tshirts and bought stabilizer to practice. She wants a bed quilt, say (85x85) 5x5 -15 in with 2 inch sashing, at even $16 a shirt that's $400. Does that sound about right? Any tips would be helpful as well.

[Which threads do you have a love/hate relationship with?]

I've tried so many different threads. I stick with glide thread and bobbins. I use glide is my dsm as well. Very little lint and rarely do I have to adjust tension.
