  1. Hi guys, its Karen McTavish - This is my friend Alane's longarm - which she loved very much. Everything in Alane's longarm studio will go with the machine. Threads, rulers, needles, pins....everything. The value of her machine when she purchased it was $22,750.00 in late 2017. Alane had quilted maybe 10 quilts on the longarm so it has had very little use. Unfortantely, Alane passed away from cancer and was a professional quilting designer. Alison Glass worked with Alane for several years. 2. Hello Quilters - This is Karen McTavish of McTavish Quilting Studio - APQS Duluth Showroom in Duluth Minnesota. I have a brand new 2015 Millennium for sale that was used for a total of 6 hours. My customer purchased the machine in May and I set up the machine in her Birchwood Wisconsin home myself with another APQS tech at the end of May. My customer was sadly placed on hospice care the day I arrived to set up her machine and unfortunately passed away soon after her beginner class. Her husband, Leo Diehl would like to sell the machine as he isn't a quilter. We saved every box, every item and all the sewing supplies, thread, pantographs that she has with her longarm machine. She has all the supplies, pins, batting, etc. Please spread the word if you know anyone who would like to have a new machine, which was loved very much by my customer. Her family is so very sad by this loss. The machine is set up in Birchwood Wisconsin in a lovely home studio. Leo Diehl would like you to call him if you are interested in seeing it - however he can't demo the machine because he doesn't quilt. APQS will transfer the warranty for this machine for the next 3 years. I would be more than happy to give anyone who purchases this machine a beginner class in my studio in Duluth Minnesota. Details: Asking $17,000 (Value is over $20,750) Motorized Fabric Advance Bliss System Quilt Glide, Lower Thread Cutter Stitch Regulator Extended Base with rulers Laser Light LED light Bobbin Winder Horizontal/Vertical Channel Locks Table size: 12 feet Bobbin Size: L (smart bobbin) Auto needle positioner single stitch button Needles, Extra Bobbin Case, Metal Bobbins, pantographs, threads, etc. Please contact Leo Diehl at (715) 651-0308 or email at leod@ricelakeutilities.com Shipping is an option but Leo would love it if you could pick it up. I will personally help with the tear-down and demo if I am needed. Thanks so much - Karen McTavish on behalf of Leo Diehl (218) 391-8218 www.mctavishquilting.com karen@mctavishquilting.com

Please ignore my very much in need of updating website. It's on my bucket list! We changed the time of the Saturday Trunk Show to 1:00pm. I'm reserving a block of rooms more than likely @ Sleep Inn (close to MGF), unless I can find a better discounted rate. Will know more in a couple days in case anyone needs a place to stay. So far there are still openings in all of the classes. Let me know if you have any questions! Becky
  7. For those in the area of Nebraska- this is a excellent time to get training in a very small setting. We will have a longarm head per student in most classes - as I am not doing private classes anymore - I hope people take advantage of some serious one on one training! See you in a week!!
  8. CONGRATS on your FIRST RIBBON! Isnt it wonderful to get a ribbon!? The first ribbon means so much! I dropped to my knees and cried when I got my first ribbon then wore my ribbon in my hair to the grocery store for a week. It's a very big deal those ribbons....its means we are honest to goodness "real" quilters now. So PROUD OF YOU!!!
  9. Sold it .....Its gone. I was asked to sign the machine.... ! Bye bye my love. You were my best friend for 4 years. But I love my Millie more now.... I've moved on.... to someone else. Its not you...its me. really....
  10. 2006 Freedom SR "Head Only" for Sale I have a 2006 Freedom SR show head for sale. Originally I purchased it for my mother in 2006 - she can't stand for long periods of time at my longarm anymore- so I purchased a "George" for her to use at her home. I have two heads on one frame - a Millie head and my Freedom head. I have a demo table that I have taken to shows - I used this demo table to display my Freedom and Millie at trade shows. But have sold this demo table to a local dealer. Now that my Mother has no use for the Freedom and I am no longer focused on local trade shows - my Freedom is just sitting on the side of my frame. Would anyone be interested in just a "Freedom SR 2006" Head? My Mother and I have won many awards on this machine. It's a lighter machine than the Millie. It runs like a top. It has excellent control and is very smooth. It is 4 punds lighter than my Millie. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is just a little dusty. The serial number is 3231. The value of the machine today, according to Mark Caraher from APQS is $9,000 - $9,500 for the head only. Today, the price of a new Freedom SR head is $11,800.00. I am open to a lower offer of course. I can ship the head in its original box FEDEX, fully insured. If any APQS rep is interested in a used Freedom SR head for their APQS dealerships/studios/quilt shows/conventions or a extra machine for teaching classes -please contact me at (218) 391-8218 or at kmctavish@designerquilts.com if you are interested in making an offer. I dont check the APQS forum often - so phone or email or facebook -is the best place to reach me! Thanks so much!

  12. I was contacted by a quilter who lives in Sun City, California - Her name is Pam - she needs to sell her Millenium - apparently she is moving to Arizona at the end of the month. She wants to sell her machine for $11,000.00 Her phone number is (951) 672-6016 Its a 2006 Millenium - she has quilted about 20 quilts on her machine. She is not computer savy - so please contact her directly by phone. She does not want to ship it - she wants someone to come and get it out of her garage. From the sounds of it - its already taken down and put into its packaging and ready to be picked up. This is all the info I have - give her a call if you have any questions. Thanks!!
