  1. What a great idea, Bonnie! Mine are just in a tub. I'll have to invest in some safety pins!!
  2. Every time I saw your picture on a post, I thought, "Wow, she looks exactly like Traci." Finally one day I investigated. It was very cool, not only that you were a quilter, but that you had chosen APQS!!
  3. She is Traci. I've been wondering if anyone else would realize this, or only me. I love Y&R, I've been watching it since it first came on the air way back when, and I'm so glad to be seeing more of Traci now. And I'm doubly excited to find that she is a quilter!!! I was about to answer the brake question, but I see that it has been well-answered already! It's an easy fix.
  4. Glad it all was cleared up. Enjoy your Millie!!
  5. You did a wonderful job quilting it!! Does anyone know the book or pattern this quilt came from?
  6. I LOVE my micro-drive handles. They help me immensely to do detail work, and I couldn't be without them.
  7. You really need to loosen your top tension a LOT with invisible thread.
  8. Best thread ever! I use it almost exclusively on my longarm and it's the only thread I use on my regular sewing machine to piece with, both top and bobbin.
  9. It always happens to me too. When I'm going slower, the stitches are smaller. Faster, they are longer.
  10. It was probably the best invisible thread. I'm sorry to hear it isn't being made any more. If you look on Harriet Hargrave's website, she has some invisible thread that they claim is like the Sew Art. I haven't tried Harriet's, so don't know. Maybe it would work.
  11. I have the Bliss system, but moving my machine had gotten to be like moving a truck, a ten-ton truck. My M&M wheels were old, and so I got new wheels. What a difference! It now moves the way I remember it moving when I first got Blissed!! I don't have to push a truck any more!
  12. I have the two low profile feet. I have used them both, and I love them. They are awesomely wonderful!
  13. Welcome! You'll love it here and you'll especially love your Freedom (in more ways than one!!).
  14. Very good. The small thumbnail looks like a photo!!
  15. Thanks for the reply, Shana. I think I remember when I first got the Bliss that my machine did move really freely. That was so long ago I barely remember it now! I have pondered if my wheels were worn or something, and thought about maybe trying some new wheels; that's about all I can think of that would be wrong, nothing else has changed. I think I'll have to invest in a new set of wheels now while I'm between quilts. Thanks for spurring me back to action on this problem!!
  16. I have a Millie and Bliss table. I cleaned my carriage and wheels with alcohol, and it was still like moving a ten ton truck around. In desperation, I tried cleaning my carriage with stainless steel polish made for my refrigerator; I wiped it on and wiped it off. My machine moves freely when I do that. I don't know if that is approved by APQS, but it is the only way I found where my machine moves the way it should.
