  1. Thank you. I probably just thought I had two.
  2. HELP!! I took my freedom apart to move. I thought I had labeled and packed everything well, but am missing one of the two bumpers that stop the sewing head from flying off the carriage. I looked on the APQS site and didn’t find that part listed. Any idea about where i can find the part or a substitute? thanks.
  3. I received the camera--superfast Amazon delivery. I can perform home medical procedures (joke) or view the underside of my quilt now. I've played around with the camera a bit around the house and I am pretty sure this is going to work well, but don't have a quilt loaded. Hopefully, I can post some more info in a few days.
  4. ohhhh! I like the idea of a dedicated older phone.
  5. I have knee problems, CANNOT kneel. As a result, I am not able to contort myself to see under the quilt to check the bobbin stitches. I"ll be spending the day unsewing a border----grrrrrrr. I picked around on the internet and found several ideas for bobbin cams, but I really don't want to have to have my laptop sucking up dust in my workroom and the space doesn't need one.more.thing. So I got the brilliant (I hope) idea to order a wifi enabled endoscope. Supposedly, this camera, which has built in lighting, will connect via wifi with my iphone. (there are a BUNCH of similar cameras that connect directly with android phones). Anyway, I think the cord will be too floppy to shove under the quilt, but I'm almost sure I can zip-tie the cord and camera to a dowel and make it work. I won't be able to watch the bobbin thread real-time as I'm quilting, but I'll be able to check it periodically and after bobbin changes to prevent the mess I'm cleaning up. I'll let you know how this $40 scheme works.
  6. That is too cute. Do you have a pattern, or did you make this up. If it's your own design, you should consider making/selling a pattern.
  7. Everything about this is just lovely. What a wonderful gift of your talent you are giving the newlyweds.
  8. Whooo Hooo! I am the proud owner of a 2009 Freedom. So? What am I doing on here???
  9. Oh WoW!! I just opened up the flash drive that was in the road show goodie bag. The trip to the road show was worth it for that. LOTS of great info.
  10. Went to a road show on Saturday. Was a little disappointed. There were too many people there for the space. There were only two machines. I didn't get a chance to try a machine, partially my fault because I had to leave at about 3, but the show was supposed to end at 3:30 and people hadn't started trying the machines yet. The dealer would have been better off to host a show two weekends in a row with fewer people. Oh well. I've made a deal on a used Freedom, so I'll be long arming soon.
  11. Taking in all of the advice and attending a road show next weekend. Can't wait!! Thanks again for all the input. I'll let you know. Annie
  12. Me? I'd get overwhelmed, fold it nicely, put it away, and find it in a few years. Of course, I'm just being silly. I'm anxious to see what you do--it's a beautiful piece of work.
  13. Are you still in the Tulsa area? And, do you have photographs of the machine? Thank you.
  14. Thank you for your thoughtful and prompt answers--you guys are the best source of information. I don't understand what quilt glide is. Is is part of the bliss thing? or something extra? Thanks again. (editted to correct grammar)
  15. Seriously considering a long arm purchase. Have studied, I think, every page on the APQS and Gammill websites and have lurked here a bit. (And, have cleaned out my space--just need to convince my better? half that my soul has a longarm-sized hole). My question: aside from the absence of a bobbin thread cutter (and $1,000); is there a difference between Millie and Freddy? And, if so--what's the difference? Thanks in advance for your input, and sorry if this should be posted elsewhere. Annie
