Valerie
I'm wondering if the Discovery would be a good starter for a longarm machine. I am thinking of upgrading from the old EZQ which I have loved learning on this past year. I've been doing well without a stitch regulator buy am wondering if a stitch regulator can be added to the Discovery? APQS certainly makes great machines! Myrna Ficken
Valerie. The Discovery is a sweet machine. So light and smooth ! Features can be added but the S/R isn't available on it. For that you will need to go to the Liberty. To compare the machines follow this link. http://www.aquilterschoice.com/Compare%20features.htm As you said you are used to running with out a S/R so it will be a breeze for you. If your budget will not allow the Liberty the Discovery is a great place to start. You can then upgrade when it is good for you. mdacey
I have a friend selling her Discovery to upgrade to a Millennium. She has had it two years and it is a great little machine. She is ready to tackle some bigger quilt projects. She is asking $6500. Delivery and set up may be available for a fee. Anyone intersted in NewEngland area, let me know!
